About Vice District Governor

JAGDISH RAI GOEL was elected to serve as First Vice District Governor of The International Association of Lions Clubs District 321 A2 at the District’s 19th Convention, held in Delhi, 21^st April, 2012.

An action oriented, soft spoken, simple, straight at heart and a very good orator known as ‘SHABDON KE JADUGAR’ among the lions of the District & Multiple 321, Vice District Governor Goel was born on 2^nd September.

He is an Advocate by profession and holds expertise in Taxation. Up to the last year he was the Senior Standing Counsel for the Income Tax Department & the Trade & Tax Department, Delhi, in Delhi High Court.

A Charter member of the Lions Club Delhi Sadar since 1976, VDG J.R. Goel has held many offices within the district, including Club President, Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson, Cabinet Secretary, Additional Cabinet Treasurer, Chief Master PRO, Member MERLOW & TOP TEN Team and District Master Of ceremonies. Multiple PRO.  He has served on numerous recognized committees and as the Host Committee Co – Chairperson for the District Installation.

In recognition of his service to the association, Goel has received many awards, including the 100% Club President Award, the Best Zone & Best Region Chairperson Award in the District as well as in Multiple, Thirteen International President’s Appreciation Certificates, twelve  International President’s  Pin ,  Fifty Members Extension Pin, Leo Club Extension Award .  He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.

In addition to his Lion activities, 1^st VDG Goel is a recipient of the Best Debater’s Award in Inter School Debate Competition. He is associated with a number of professional, social & service oriented Organizations such as

1^st Vice Governor Goel and his wife KUMKUM, also a Lion, have two daughters & a son who all are active LEO Members and his son SHASHANK RAI GOEL presently pursuing his MBA from IIM Calcutta became MJF at age of 5 Years in the year 1990-91 and was the youngest MJF at that time. He is the only Active LEO MJF in District 321 A2.
